Sourav Ganguly Decided to Retire Shocking!!

IPL 4 is near, But this news will surely sink all hearts in Bengal. Ironically I am in Darjeeling, a beautiful place which may also be out of Bengal :-)

During his interview to 'Headlines Today' Dada, started hinting about his retirement. To the interviewer question  if he has now retired from all forms of cricket, Ganguly said, "No, I don't think so."
"I have retired as an international professional player two years ago. That part is done. IPL is a huge platform. As far as that is concerned I don't think there is any possibility to play in IPL," Ganguly said.

Though BCCI has opened doors for Saurav Ganguly for playing with Kochi IPL team, the chances later became zero. Ganguly had retired from international cricket in 2008. The last Ranji Trophy match he played for Bengal was against Railways in December last. It was a surprise that he didn't find a place in 10 IPL teams in which 70 Indians were selected.

Other players of his age like Adam Gilchrist, Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman are still actively involved with the IPL. It was a disgrace for him to be offered as a mentor's job by Kolkata Knight Riders' owner Shah Rukh Khan but Dada did not want that role.

India’s most successful Test captain Saurav Ganguly's innings is finally over.
